We had a great Safari with this company, the driver was really motivated and always on the lookout for animals for us to see. His talent and patience even got us to see a leopard (apart from crocodiles, elephants, haws, buffalos…)! Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Kumana Safari Priyantha. The highlight of our trip was spotting a young female leopard cub, which we were able to identify thanks to our incredible guides. Seeing such a rare sight was a dream come true and an experience we will cherish forever. Our guides, W.M. Chandrapala and Sanka, were exceptional. Chandrapala's extensive knowledge of Sri Lankan wildlife and Sanka's skill as a driver made our safari both informative and thrilling. They were adept at spotting animals that are often missed, and their passion for wildlife was evident throughout the trip. Their keen eyes and deep understanding of the park's ecosystem ensured we saw a diverse range of animals and learned so much about them. The birdwatching during the safari was equally spectacular. The variety of bird species we saw and identified was incredible. We were delighted by the sight of the little brilliant green bee-eater and the vibrant blue kingfisher. The park is a crucial migration pathway, and during our visit, we witnessed an astounding array of migratory birds. The diverse storm storks and many other species added to the magical birdwatching experience. The peak time for bird migration is between November and April, with thousands of birds passing through Kumana National Park, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. We had a private tour, which was easily arranged, and the price compared to other companies' multi-group tours is excellent. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch, which was a perfect break during our exploration. The combination of great food, amazing wildlife sightings, and outstanding guides made this safari an absolute highlight of our visit to Sri Lanka. Fabulous afternoon safari. Very knowledgeable guide who spotted game from the start to the finish. We saw many elephants, crocadiles, deer, wild boars, water buffaloe, mongooses, jackals and the crowning glory, a leapord ambling about. The park is also a wetland home to a diverse population of birds. Great driving skills kept us feeling safe all the time. Having visited Yala last year, I would say this tour and guide was considerably better.

The safari was amazing! We did a half-day safari in the afternoon hoping to see some elephants. We saw those as well but were also treated to two leopards. The guide was good at identifying the animals. He also gave us more than enough time to take some pictures of all the animals. Also the service was really good. We were picked up right in front of our hotel and the complementary refreshment pack was very welcome.

Wir hatten das große Glück die einzigen auf der Safari zu sein! Unser Guide hat uns viele Tiere und Vögel gezeigt und uns die Tierwelt erklärt! Es war sehr beeindruckend und kaum in Worte zu fassen wie unfassbar schön es war. Er stoppte immer wieder den Jeep und lies uns die Zeit die wir brauchten um uns die Tiere anzuschauen! Eine ganz klare Empfehlung!

Had an amazing 2-day safari with Priyantha! Not only did we get 3 leopard sightings, and 3 elephant sightings, but Priyantha explained all the wildlife to us! He also showed us the photos that he was taking so we could see the smaller animals, like eagles, in better detail!! Would highly recommend this company 🙂
